The Air is Fresher Underground6064802712 輸入盤  2003/11/4 on sale ファンクベース奏者 Freekbassの３rdアルバムが発売されました。 このアルバムは、２nd同様Bootsy CollinsがExecutive Producerを 務めていますが、関わり具合からすれば、俄然このアルバムの方が 大きいように感じます。前作と比べて、全体的にスロ−に感じ、さし づめ、アダルト・スロ−・ファンクといったところ。 注目曲は、３曲目"Always Here"で、Bootsy Collinsとのヴォ−カル 共演（なおBootsy は、曲作りにも加わっています。）で、 Bucketheadというバカテクギタリストがフィチャ−されていますが この人のクレジットがあったことは、私的には驚きであった。なにせ、 1999年に発売された"MONSTERSROBOTS"というソロアルバムを 聴いて一撃をくらっていたからだ。またBernie Worrell が参加している ことも注目です。 これで、Freekbassの３枚のソロアルバムを聴きましたが、そのどれも が、別のアルバムと感じさせてくれました。ProducerであるBootsyに よるところも大きいが、勿論Freekbassの音楽を愛し、その引き出しの 多さ（やりたいことが無尽蔵に詰まっている引き出し）によるところが 大きいからだと思う。 The 3rd album of funkbass-player Freekbass was put on the market. On this album Bootsy Collins is the Executive Producer just as in the same way as on the second CD.But, I feel the degree of the relation between them on this album to be bigger. There is an adult atmosphere, and a generation isn't asked to it, and I can hear this more than on the second album. It's an adult FUNK-CD! An attention tune is the third song "Always Here". Bootsy Collins is added on Vocals and made the composition. I was surprised because guitarist Buckethead was added to the third song in the same way. It is because "MONSTERSROBOTS" of Buckethead was put on the market in 1999 and when I heard that CD I suffered a shock. Then BernieWorrell is also playing on this album. Anyway, it is an album with many places to pay attention. Though I listened to the three sheets of solo albums of Freekbass, the new CD is a wonderful CD which gives the impression that is all separate from the other albums. BODY OVER MIND Gemini Records 輸入盤 2001/6/26 sale オハイオ州シンシナティ生まれの白人ファンクベース奏者 Freekbass （以前は FreeBass）クリス・シャ−マン( Chris Sherman) の、同じベ−ス 奏者で同郷のBootsy Collinsの全面サ−ポ−トを得て（ブ−ツィ−が プロデュ−ス、ヴォ−カル参加、ブ−ツィ−の息子ピーウィー･コリンズが ラップを、ブ−ツィ−の兄、キャットフィッシュがギタ−で参加）発表した アルバムです。 輸入盤は去年出ていたのですが、日本でも2002年9月に発売になりました ということで、日本でもこれから多くの人に聴いてもらうことになりそうです 私も輸入盤ですぐに聴いて、聴きたい音楽はこれだ !!と思って愛聴してい た次第です。ファンク度全開、悲しい気分で聴いていても、身体が自然に反 応踊り出してしまいたくなり、"明日はなるようになるさ！"という呪縛に取り 憑かれ、待っていましたという感じです。全曲パワ−ありですが、特に ４曲目"Body Over Mind"が粘ば粘ばとしていて、最高ッス。 "Freekbass"とは、ベ−シストのFreekbassを中心として、現在は５人編成 Freekbass（bass,Mutron bass,vo)、J(sax,bass,keyb)、miara SWIFT(ds,vo) Aaron Mahoney(keyb)、SEAN mcgary(g)バンドの形態をとっています。 Bootsy Collinsが現代版の"ラバ−・バンド"とし、ファンク魂を受け継ぐ バンドとして絶賛するのも、このイカレタ、サウンドを聴いたら納得!! 彼自身の作品＆プロデュ−スなんですよね、（２枚目はブ−ツィ−がを聴いて俄然好きになり、常道である遡って聴いてみたいという好奇心が 出て、この１枚目のオリジナル・アルバムを聴いています。 聴いて２枚目と全然違うなと感じました、よく見たら、このアルバムは全曲 プロデュ−スし、自身の曲は３曲しか入っていません）全体的にデイ−プな
